Pichacker. If your car does not have the OTIS feature then on a very cold morning just press the power button without pressing the clutch. The glow plugs will then come on, leave it a couple of seconds then press the clutch as normal and start the engine. (Brake on automatic variant)

If the internal of the injectors is dirty with a poor spray. pattern it may help there. But I have always wondered what strength of injector cleaner to fuel does. it really take to have an effect.
Ford S-MAX glow plug relay input signal. I have an 2.0 TDCI S-Max , DCM 3.5 ECU. the ECU is not activating the glow plugs. all wirring is ok (ecu included) , all temperature & other sensors are ok and working in the range, new relay , new glow plugs. if I manualy bridge the wiring in the relay socket the glow plugs are working.
